Overview

Established in 2022 by the American Floral Endowment (AFE), Sustainabloom is a collaborative initiative dedicated to leading the floriculture industry toward a future enriched with sustainable practices at every level.

Sustainabloom supports the need for continued floriculture research and communication around increased sustainable practices throughout the industry by creating user-friendly guides and resources. These resources are broken down by topic, allowing businesses to assess where they are and where they can do more.

As a resourceful guide and advocate, our goal is to inspire and support businesses in achieving operational excellence and responsibility, fostering a culture that strives toward embracing the utmost sustainable practices throughout the industry.

Sustainabloom works closely with a Committee with members representing all areas of the industry, along with expert researchers, to ensure the relevance and accuracy of our resources. Looking ahead, we plan to continually expand our website to include new resources as well as business sustainability planning and proactive industry initiatives.

The American Floral Endowment/Sustainabloom is a proud member of the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI), an esteemed international nonprofit with a focus on sustainability. FSI is a market-driven initiative that brings together members of the international floriculture sector. They share the goal of finding more sustainable solutions for farmers, their workers, and families, for the environment, and for the future of the sector. This partnership strengthens the floriculture industry, and Sustainabloom, through increased collaboration, sharing experiences, and broadened perspectives.
