“Clean Driven Logistics” at Armellini Logistics
Armellini Logistics is proud to be celebrating their 80th Anniversary this year. Although they have enjoyed a rich history, they are always planning ahead and sustainability is part of their plan. Their sustainability program is titled “Clean Driven Logistics”.

Armellini Logistics is an EPA SmartWay Partner. They enjoy a ranking of 1 (1 = lowest CO2 and NOx emissions vs. 5 = highest CO2 and NOx emissions).
They have a Florida DEP approved Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and provide training to employees on the importance of clean water and pollution prevention. The terminal managers are certified in stormwater management.
In 2024, they recycled 370 tires through a local vendor. Recycled tires can be used in a number of applications from asphalt production and floor mats to artificial turf infill. Other used tires are collected through a partnership with truck new tire manufacturers. Zero tires ended up in a landfill.
In 2024, they recycled 590 used batteries. Zero batteries ended up in a landfill.
Used metal, aluminum and cardboard are picked up by a local recycler. Used oil and other chemicals are picked up by an authorized hazardous material transporter where they are cleaned and reused in other industries such as asphalt production.
They are in the process of converting all of their warehouses to LED lighting. The Palm City Florida facility is already 100% compliant.
Approximately 80% of their truck and tractor fleet is less than 4 years old. Newer tractors are much more fuel efficient than older tractors. These tractors also use California EPA Approved “Clean Idle” technology.
In 2022, they installed “Flow Below” wheel covers and wind diverters. This has resulted in a .93% fuel savings. In 2023, trailer skirts were added which resulted in additional fuel savings.
Their drivers utilize “eco driving” techniques, and their trucks are governed at a maximum speed of 66 mph. This not only reduces fuel usage and carbon exposure, but also improves safety on the highways. Maximizing trailer loads increase freight moved per gallon while reducing refrigeration cost.
They use AI for route planning to reduce mileage and to avoid unnecessary traffic delays. Annually, they measure miles per gallon and are able to document significant fuel savings which equates to reduced emissions.
In 2024, they earned a “Commitment Badge” sustainability rating from Ecovadis. Ecovadis is recognized as the global standard for resilient, sustainable supply chains.
Armellini Logistics continues to look to the future of “Clean Driven Logistics”.
